PQA 8000H Rack Mount

Permanent Precision. Built for the Grid.

The Premium Device for Professional Monitoring

With the new PQA 8000H-RM, NEO Messtechnik brings the full measurement capability of the PQA 8000H into a 19″ rackmount form factor — designed for permanent installation in substations, battery energy storage systems, and grid-connected infrastructure. The instrument retains all hardware and software capabilities of its portable variant, while adding a higher-performance processor and up to four integrated IPCS 10A Zeroflux sensors.

Without display or battery, the PQA 8000H-RM is purpose-built for headless, continuous operation and remote access.

Hardware Highlights

Permanent Installation

19″ rack mount form factor for substations, control cabinets, and infrastructure environments. No display, no battery — built for continuous unattended operation.

Higher-Performance Processor

More computing power than the portable PQA 8000, enabling faster real-time processing and simultaneous high-resolution data streams.

Up to 4x Integrated Zeroflux Sensors

IPCS 10A Zeroflux current sensors included — highest accuracy AC/DC current measurement, directly powered by the instrument.

GPS Time Synchronisation

Highly precise UTC-referenced time stamping — fundamental to PMU synchrophasor measurements and wide-area monitoring applications.

Up to 1 TB SSD Storage

Continuous raw data recording at full 1 MS/s sampling rate. Local storage combined with remote access via LAN, WLAN, or LTE.

Remote Access

No on-site presence required for configuration, monitoring, or data retrieval.

Software Highlights

All measurement, analysis, and reporting functions are available remotely:

  • Synchrophasor & RoCoF measurement (PMU, IEC/IEEE 60255-118-1)
  • Power quality monitoring, harmonics, interharmonics, supraharmonics up to 500 kHz
  • Transient recording and disturbance analysis
  • Continuous raw data recording at full sampling rate
  • Wide Area Monitoring (WAMS) via SmartGRID EDGE PDC
  • Report generation: EN50160, IEEE519, IEC61000-2-4 and others
  • Export: CSV, XLS, PDF, Comtrade, PQDiff

Technical Excellence That Delivers Results

The PQA 8000H-RM shares its voltage level coverage, current sensor compatibility, supraharmonic measurement, safety specifications, complying standards, and software functions with the portable NEO PQA 8000H.

Built In Phasor Measurement Unit

The PQA 8000H-RM includes full PMU functionality compliant with IEC/IEEE 60255-118-1. It measures synchrophasors, frequency, and Rate of Change of Frequency (RoCoF) — all referenced to UTC via GPS.

  • TVE (Total Vector Error): ≤ 0.01% — 100× more accurate than the 1% standard requirement
  • Angle accuracy: ≤ 0.003°
  • Reporting rates: up to 200 fps (Class M and P simultaneously)
  • TCP and UDP streaming to PDC
  • Compatible with SmartGRID EDGE WAMS software
